INSTRUCTORS

Jeannie Joe

Certified Pilates Instructor

Jeannie, a native of Baton Rouge, LA, has been a health and fitness enthusiast her entire life. She began practicing Pilates over 10 years ago when her body was exhausted, and her joints ached from too much cardio exercise and long-distance running. She quickly realized Pilates was a gentle form of movement that can be practiced consistently and long-term without fatiguing the muscles and over-stressing the body, while improving posture, strength, stability and so much more. Jeannie’s love for Pilates led her to become a certified Peak Pilates instructor, teaching in Houston for over 5 years. She continues to further her Pilates knowledge through specific workshops and advanced trainings focusing on different Pilates apparatuses and specialized practices catering to the physical needs of various populations.

As a Certified Public Accountant, Jeannie is meticulous and trained to pay attention to fine detail. She naturally transfers these skills to closely studying her clients’ bodies and helping them identify imbalances and areas needing more strength, flexibility, stamina, etc. She adheres to the classical method of Pilates, as created by Joseph Pilates, while supplementing with contemporary, and other appropriate, movement patterns to cater to her clients’ specific needs and abilities.

Jeannie loves teaching because she genuinely enjoys meeting new people and most importantly, helping them feel better both physically and emotionally. She smiles knowing her clients are generally, happy to see her; whereas, as a former financial auditor, they were never happy to see her!
